A Zesty and Happy Aromatic!
Sweet Oranges are the oldest known fruit to be cultivated, and were used in Chinese medicine for respiratory and digestive conditions. The traveling Moor traders brought the sweet oranges to Africa and the Middle East, and they reached Europe during the 1400’s.
It’s recorded that Christopher Columbus carried sweet orange seeds with him to the Caribbean islands in 1493, and Ponce de Leon is said to have brought the first sweet oranges to Florida.
