From the Alpine Heights
High Alpine Lavender grows wild on the mountain slopes of Mont Blanc in the French Alps, at an elevation of over 15,000 feet. It’s the highest growing lavender that has been found, and when studied, it was found that the soil, temperature, and precipitation, causes it to have the highest ester content in the essential oil. Higher ester content gives it a more intense lavender fragrance, and a higher level of a key compound, called Linalyl Acetate, that provides anti-bacterial, anti-viral and analgesic properties.
When you’re seeking a more intense therapeutic effect, High Alpine Lavender will give you stronger remedies for infections, colds and flu, calming and pain relief.
High Alpine Lavender essential oil can provide all the useful remedies and aromatherapy of the Lavender family in general, only on a more intense scale. Here are just a few ways:
- Muscles and Joints: If your muscles and joints are aching from overexertion, arthritis, rheumatism, fibromyalgia or injury, High Alpine Lavender will provide relief fast to the deep tissues of the muscles. Its warming effects will relax the muscles with a few drops in carrier oil for massage, or you can put a few drops in your bath, along with some Epsom salts, and soak your sore muscles and joints for about 15 minutes, then wrap up and take a nap or go to sleep for the night. You’ll feel amazing in the morning! Even the aroma of High Alpine Lavender in a vaporizer or diffuser, or even a drop on your pillow, will induce a relaxed state and calm stressed muscles and joints.
- Sedative: High Alpine Lavender is the best of the Lavender family for inducing restful sleep, and for treating insomnia. By relaxing the triggers for stress, anxiety, muscle tension, pain, and calming respiration and circulation, this Lavender sets the overall mind/emotions/body foundation needed for a good night’s sleep. A soaking bath, a vaporizer, spritzing the sheets with lavender water, and putting a few drops in carrier oil on the bottoms of your feet will soon have you floating off to dreamland!
- Immune System: With its powerful anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties, this is the Lavender to use when you need a boost to your immune system. When cold and flu season comes around, or you’ve been in contact with someone who’s sick, diffuse lavender or apply to your feet or temples, and keep those germs away!
Tip: At the first sign of a headache or migraine attack, put a drop of High Alpine Lavender in your hand and rub your hands together. Now, just breathe! You will find that Lavender can often stop a headache in its tracks!
